Summer Undergraduate Research in Engineering at UCLA
The Engineering Transfer Center at UCLA works with our Undergraduate Research Program to offer opportunities to community college students. Technology Commercialization Internship
The Office of Technology Transitions Links to an external site. (OTT) Technology Commercialization Internship Program provides an opportunity for undergraduate students to explore and contribute to projects that lie at the intersection of business and technology like machine learning, artificial intelligence, computing, data science and biofuels. Students undergo intensive training as they join the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE's) world-class national laboratory system, boost entrepreneurial thinking, and explore market opportunities. Students from disadvantage communities, underrepresented groups in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM), and Minority Serving Institutions are encouraged to apply.

Phenotypic Plasticity Research Experience
Phenotypic Plasticity Research Experience for Community College Students is an opportunity for 10 community college students to conduct research for 10 weeks during the summer. PRECS is a collaboration between the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, located in Urbana, IL, and Parkland College, located Champaign, IL. Possible research projects include but are not limited to the interaction between genotype and ozone pollution on maize growth, the effect of environmental stress on neuroanatomy, and the interactions of genes and environment on fish behavior.

Caltech Amgen Scholars Program
Caltech's Amgen Scholars Program is geared towards students in biology, chemistry, and biotechnology fields. Some of these fields include biology, biochemistry, bioengineering, medical engineering, chemical and biomolecular engineering, and chemistry. Amgen scholars participate in research projects, along with scientific seminars, workshops, and networking events, prepare participants to pursue a Ph.D. or the joint M.D./Ph.D. degree and research careers in the sciences and biotechnology.

Meta University 2023 Engineering Intern
Meta University (formerly Facebook University) is a paid, summer internship program designed to provide technical skill development & professional work experience to students who are historically under-represented in computer science.
