What Can I Do with Studio?

Studio  Links to an external site.is a  new video tool integrated inside of Canvas, making it easy for faculty to create engaging video and for students to participate in dynamic conversations as they view the video independently.

With Studio, faculty can:

• Faculty easily record webcam and screencast video within Canvas
• Create and manage a library of videos for use in Canvas (and to share outside of Canvas)
• Create discussion activities that are based on video (discussion comments are tied to specific points in the video)
• Get data on student viewing of video
• Add quiz questions into videos; 
• Provide feedback directly on specific moments in the video
• Videos can be automatically captioned and the captions can be easily edited

With Studio, students can:

• Easily record webcam and screencast video within Canvas
• Create and manage a library of videos for use in Canvas (and to share outside of Canvas)
• Respond to quiz questions imbedded into the video; results go directly into the gradebook
• Submit video assignments

Studio is available to faculty and students from the global navigation bar in College of the Canyons Canvas.
