Microsoft Accessibility Checkers
Microsoft Suite Accessibility Checkers
Each of the Microsoft Suite products (Word, PowerPoint and Excel) has a built-in accessibility checker, which is a tool that gives you a starting point for determining the accessibility of your documents and serves as an outline for what fixes are required.
The nice thing is their Accessibility Checker also offers guidance about how to fix the accessibility issues in the document. This can provide a foundation for understanding how to create or remediate future documents.
The tutorial below shows how to find the Accessibility Checker in PowerPoint. The location and process for working with the tool is essentially the same in Word and Excel.

Using the Checker to Fix Issues
This tutorial shows how to use the Accessibility Checker to fix issues in PowerPoint. The process is very similar in Word and Excel.
On a Mac?
The Accessibility Checker can be located under the main Tools menu on a Mac.
