Why Build Community Online
Online courses can feel isolating and lonely for students (and sometimes also for instructors), but it doesn't have to be that way!
- This resource course will help you create an online environment rich with social connection, meaningful interaction, and satisfying learning.
- In this course, you will find specific examples of assignments designed to support student-to-student communication and ideas for supporting and connecting with students as an instructor.
- All the pages and activities in this course are available for you to use and modify for your course and course subject.
This course was initially developed as a companion to our 'Building Community Online' workshop. View Online Education's 'Building Community Online Download Building Community Online' presentation (with presenter notes) for a helpful overview of the 'why' to understand 'how.'
