Creating an OER Action Plan
As you explore the resources and information in this course, you may consider developing an action plan that outlines how you intend to integrate OER or open pedagogy in your own course, as a way to support equity-minded and antiracist teaching.
When developing your action plan, you may find it helpful to reflect on what you have learned throughout this course (equity, OER, open pedagogy, and antiracism), then consider: how might you implement these approaches in your own teaching.
More specifically, you could also think more about the different options for OER and Open Pedagogy. For example, what are some concrete actions that you can take in your own course, to adopt textbooks and/or open assignments to support students and transform your teaching and learning? When developing an action plan, consider short-term, easily implemented actions as well as longer-term, big ideas.
This module will include helpful information for integrating OER into your teaching at College of the Canyons.
As you work through this module, start thinking about how you can include OER in your courses.
