Titers (Antibody Tests) and Vaccinations
-->EVERYONE needs to do this, even if you have been vaccinated before. The antibodies wear off over time<--
- Titers (pronounced TIE-ders) are antibody tests done to check if you are immune to a disease.
- You will need to provide a copy of the lab results AND the form below.
- If your antibodies are low for any of these, you will also need to get a booster shot.
- Your TB tests need to be finished before you can get the boosters or other vaccinations.
Step 1: Blood Draw
- Download the Titers and Vaccinations form Download Titers and Vaccinations form and take it to your doctor or a lab
- Follow the directions for filling out the Titers and Vaccination form Download filling out the Titers and Vaccination form
- Get titers drawn for:

- Hepatitis B
- Measles
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Varicella
Step 2: Lab Results
- Get a copy of the lab results for the titers.
We need your medical records showing the lab results AND the completed Titers and Vaccinations form
Step 3: Vaccinations
- Get a booster shot for any titer that shows no immunity.
- Get a Tdap vaccination if you haven't had one in the last ten years.
- The Td and DTaP shots are not the same as the TDaP
- Get a flu shot
- It must be the Fall 2025 shot (available starting August or September 2025 until April or May 2026)
- We need your medical records showing these vaccinations AND the completed Titers and Vaccinations form
Step 4: Documentation
- Add
- your lab results
- the completed Titers and Vaccination Form
- and your vaccinations: flu shot for Fall 2024; Tdap since December 2014, and Hep B, MMR, and varicella if your immunity was low
- to Checklist 3 Download Checklist 3 in the order shown on the checklist. Remove the staples from all of the paperwork before attaching it!
- Do not check off any items on the list - your instructor will do that
