Due Dates: Week 2 and Week 5
Week 2
- EMT Kit

- Black pens
Week 5
- Remaining uniform items
Required Items
- COC EMT Polo shirt, Navy Blue, available in the COC bookstore $24.98. We recommend that you purchase at least two so you always have a clean one for class and clinicals.
- EMT ID Badge, worn starting Week 2 of class.
- White, crew neck (round) undershirt
- Navy blue or black EMS pants (with or without cargo pockets) or Dickies-style work pants. You will be doing a lot of bending and lifting in this class. The pants need to be loose enough for you to squat comfortably and move freely, and the waist needs to fit snugly enough that it won't gap in the back when you bend or kneel.
- Black leather boots or shoes. No tennis shoes, cloth/canvas, or cowboy boots - those won't protect you from getting bodily fluids in your socks on a call or keep you on your feet on the slippery ambulance floor.
- Plain, black leather belt
- Wristwatch with a second hand. You need a second hand to take vital signs. No smartwatches - those can't be decontaminated when they get bodily fluids on them. You need to wear this every time you come to class.
- EMT kit available through the bookstore. This contains a stethoscope, blood pressure cuff, pen light, safety vest, and safety glasses. You can buy these separately on your own if you don't want to buy the kit from the bookstore.
- Two black ink pens, not gel. You need to have them with you every day in class.
